About
Cedar Compher is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from the Pacific Northwest whose music blends warmth, nostalgia, and quiet groove. Raised in a family of musicians, he approaches songwriting as a form of emotional translation — not performance.
After converting a van into a rolling home studio, Cedar spent a year writing and recording across the country, resulting in his 2024 debut EP Coming Home. His newest release, Rainbows, was built entirely on an old Yamaha toy synth — a nod to childhood, memory, and the things we carry with us as we grow.
His music draws subtle inspiration from The Beatles, Talking Heads, and Jimi Hendrix, but filters those through his own sensibility: soft, melodic, sometimes danceable, and always grounded in feeling over flash.

“..every melody feels like it’s being handed to you, not for your ears, but for your insides. Folk-pop snuggled inside indie warmth, without overstating its own beauty."
